We've been working with Back in Action for many years now and during this time the company has become the UK's largest retailer of orthopaedic furniture. The most recent brief was to re-vamp their website, making it responsive and to create an online shop that reflected the friendly, relaxed atmosphere of their fearsomely good high-street stores.
The online shop has continued to be a great success; sales have rocketed and the website has brought ever more customers into their High Street stores.
Back in Action wanted their online shop to live up to the experience provided by their high street stores: It had to be friendly, relaxed and easy to use; the purchase process needed to mirror that enjoyed by walk-in customers.
So we designed and built a website that mirrors the offline Back in Action brand, ethos and sales experience. No hard sell, no clutter and clear information on demand. To help cope with the success of the online shop, the Order Processing System was created to handle the significant volume of orders that were coming in and to ensure that no mistakes were made, time was saved and costs were reduced.
Vitally, the Order Processing System accepts orders from all of Back in Action’s sales channels; it is fully integrated with the website, it is used at point of sale in the high street stores and process orders received by phone. The system also includes real time stock management, customer accounts and real time delivery path analysis. The system has continued to grow in line with the needs of the business and features a customer enquiry system, internal communications platform, and comprehensive sales, accounting and efficiency management reporting.
